Dreame L40 Ultra robot vacuum and docking station

Why the Dreame L40 Ultra stands out

The L40 Ultra combines strong 11,000Pa suction with MopExtend™ RoboSwing edge cleaning, a liftable and extendable side brush, automated mop care and obstacle avoidance. Its base station is a major part of the appeal: Dreame says it can auto-empty dust for up to 75 days, wash the mop and washboard with hot water up to 65°C (149°F), dry the mops with warm air, refill water and add cleaning solution automatically.

11,000Pa Maximum suction

3.2L Dock dust bag capacity
22mm Obstacle crossing height

Reaches farther while reducing daily maintenance

MopExtend™ RoboSwing is designed to move the mop deeper into edges, corners and narrow spaces, while the extendable side brush helps sweep debris away from walls and furniture edges. Dreame also allows the side brush, mop and main brush to lift in different cleaning situations to reduce wet-and-dry crossover.

The PowerDock-style base takes over much of the routine upkeep: dust emptying, mop washing, warm-air drying, water refilling and solution refilling. That makes the L40 Ultra especially appealing to buyers who want a robot cleaner that demands less attention between runs.

Best suited to busy mixed-floor homes

The L40 Ultra makes the most sense for homes with a mix of hard flooring and carpet, especially where pet hair, crumbs and daily debris are common. Its automated dock and app-based scheduling are useful for households that want regular cleaning with less manual emptying and mop care.

Buyers with simple layouts or small spaces may not need such a large dock or this level of automation. The premium feature set is most valuable when the robot is expected to clean frequently and cover multiple rooms.

Useful details beyond the headline suction number

11,000Pa is a lab-rated maximum

Dreame lists 11,000Pa maximum suction and five suction levels. Real-world pickup still depends on flooring, brush condition, debris type and the cleaning mode you select.

Hot-water washing is part of the dock system

Dreame states that the dock can clean the mop and washboard with water heated up to 65°C (149°F) under specified test conditions, then dry the mops with warm air to reduce moisture and odor buildup.

Auto-empty intervals are estimates

Dreame advertises dust auto-emptying for up to 75 days using a 3.2L dust bag. Actual frequency depends on home size, debris volume, pets and how often the robot runs.

The optional TriCut brush is separate

Dreame promotes an anti-tangle TriCut brush for hair handling, but its U.S. product page notes that this accessory is sold separately. Check the exact bundle before purchase.

A strong fit for buyers who value automation as much as cleaning power

The L40 Ultra is compelling because its value is not limited to suction. Edge-reaching hardware, mixed-floor handling and the highly automated dock work together to reduce the amount of cleaning maintenance a household has to do manually. It is a premium, space-hungry system, but for larger or busier homes the automation can be the feature that matters most.
