Samsung Extractor Induction Hob installed flush in a modern kitchen island

Why the Samsung Extractor Induction Hob stands out

Samsung combines four induction zones and a powerful central extractor in one flush-mounted appliance. Steam, smoke and cooking odors are captured close to the cookware, making the design particularly useful for kitchen islands and open-plan interiors where an overhead hood would interrupt the view.

Strong source extraction without a ceiling-mounted hood

The central vent draws airborne grease, steam and odors downward where they are produced. Samsung states extraction of up to 720 m³/h in Boost mode while maintaining an A+ ventilation energy rating.

Flex Zone Plus supports larger and differently shaped cookware, while automatic pan detection helps activate heat where it is needed. Slide-touch controls handle both cooking power and ventilation from the same surface.

Best suited to modern open-plan and island kitchens

This hob makes the most sense where clear sightlines and integrated design matter. It can free the ceiling above an island and remove the visual weight of a conventional cooker hood.

It is less suitable as a simple drop-in replacement for every existing hob. The extraction duct, cabinet space, electrical supply and chosen recirculation or exhaust route all need to be planned before installation.

Important details beyond the minimalist surface

Installation is part of the product decision

Samsung supports duct-free, recirculating and external-exhaust configurations. Cabinet dimensions, airflow routing and any required accessories should be confirmed with the installer.

The extractor occupies space below

The appliance measures approximately 800 × 230 × 520 mm. Its ventilation system and ductwork can reduce the usable cabinet or drawer space beneath the countertop.

Filters still require maintenance

The stainless-steel grease filter is dishwasher safe, while the charcoal filter used in relevant installations needs periodic replacement to maintain odor reduction.

Boost performance is time limited

Samsung’s highest 720 m³/h extraction figure applies to Boost mode, which runs for a limited period before returning to the previous setting.

A refined solution when ventilation and visual openness matter equally

The Samsung Extractor Induction Hob turns two large kitchen elements into one clean surface. Its strongest advantage is architectural: an island can remain open while extraction happens directly beside the cookware. Anti-Scratch Glass, flexible induction zones and washable filtration support everyday use, but professional planning is essential because ventilation routing and cabinet space are as important as cooking performance.
